Northwest Raiders Wrestling

Wrestling is safe and fun for learning fitness, strength and endurance, self-control, and self-confidence. Get expert, personalized training with our experienced coaches in the clean and spacious Franklin High School wrestling room.  CWA league members. We participate in MSWA tournaments and other events as appropriate. Co-ed, ages 5-15, 40-200 pounds. Wrestlers are matched using age, weight, and experience considerations.

Wrestling runs a Winter season from November through February each year with Registration normally opening in October.

Practice sessions are on Mondays and Fridays from 6:30pm – 8:00pm at Franklin High School.

Matches are held on weekends around Baltimore & Carroll Counites.

The program is open for any wrestler from first grade through high school. We have players from any age (6-17) and skill level.

Each year, uniforms will be provided by the program for each player. Players must bring their own appropriate sneakers, headgear, proper eyewear (for those requiring glasses), and water.

  • Not Permitted: Jewelry, including earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, is not allowed for safety reasons.

We conduct evaluations to ensure fair and balanced competition across all matches. Evaluations are not tryouts-once registration is paid, they are guaranteed a place. Evaluations are preferred for all wrestlers.

Wrestlers are generally assigned to divisions based on their age/weight group to ensure fair and balanced competition.

All of our programs rely entirely on dedicated, non-paid volunteers. If you’re passionate about helping kids grow and succeed, we’d love to have you on board as a Coach or Assistant Coach! No prior experience is needed-just a commitment to making a positive impact. See our [Volunteer] Page for the process.

Thanks from the program chairs!
