Reisterstown Field Hockey

Field Hockey runs a Summer season from June through August each year with Registration normally opening in January.

Practice sessions vary week-to-week but normally run from 5 pm – 9 pm on a Mondays.

Sessions are held once per week at the Reisterstown Sportsplex.

The program is open for any girl from kindergarten through high school. We have teams for players from any age (5-17) and skill level.

The program also offers coed adult sessions.

Pinnies can be optioned during registration, but all players must bring their own field hockey stick (outdoor), appropriate shoes, clothing, proper eyewear (for those requiring glasses), and water.

  • Permitted: Simple hair ties and headbands, corner masks, and left-hand gloves.
  • Not Permitted: Jewelry, including earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, is not allowed during play for safety reasons.

We conduct evaluations to ensure fair and balanced play across all teams. Evaluations are not tryouts-once your registration is paid, there’s a guaranteed place at the sessions.

Players are generally assigned to divisions based on their age group to ensure fair and balanced competition. However, we understand that some players may be ready for more advanced challenges.

Players have the option to “play up” one division above their age group. All requests will be considered based on skill level, safety, and development needs.

All of our programs rely entirely on dedicated, non-paid volunteers. If you’re passionate about helping the people of our community grow and succeed, we’d love to have you on board as a Coach, Assistant Coach, or just a helper! No prior experience is needed-just a commitment to making a positive impact. See our [Volunteer] Page for details about the process of becoming a volunteer.
