Reisterstown Girls Basketball

The Reisterstown Girls Basketball program is dedicated to empowering young female athletes through basketball. We provide a fun, supportive, and challenging environment where girls can develop their skills both on and off the court. Our program focuses on fundamental basketball techniques, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

With teams spanning various age groups, we offer opportunities for players of all skill levels to learn the game, improve their abilities, and compete in a positive and encouraging setting. Led by community coaches and parents who are passionate about youth basketball development. Our program aims to build confidence, foster friendships, and inspire a lifelong love for the game.

Girls Basketball runs a Winter season from mid-November through February each year with Registration normally opening in October.

Practice sessions vary week-to-week but run from 5pm – 9pm on a weekday.

Games are held once per week at Franklin Middle School

The program is open for any girl from kindergarten through high school. We have teams for players from any age (5-17) and skill level.

Note: The 5-6 year old division focuses on instruction and skill development. There is no competition at this level.

Each year, uniforms will be provided by the program for each player. Players must bring their own appropriate high tops or quarter length basketball sneakers, shorts, proper eyewear (for those requiring glasses), and water.

  • Permitted: Simple hair ties and headbands in team colors.
  • Not Permitted: Jewelry, including earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, is not allowed during games for safety reasons.

We conduct evaluations to ensure fair and balanced competition across all teams. Evaluations are not tryouts-once your daughter’s registration is paid, she is guaranteed a place on a team, regardless of her skill level or prior experience. Evaluations are preferred for all players.

Players are generally assigned to divisions based on their age group to ensure fair and balanced competition. However, we understand that some players may be ready for more advanced challenges.

Players have the option to “play up” one division above their age group. All requests will be considered based on skill level, safety, and development needs.

Our Girls Basketball program relies entirely on dedicated, non-paid volunteers. If you’re passionate about helping kids grow and succeed, we’d love to have you on board as a Coach or Assistant Coach! No prior basketball experience is needed-just a commitment to making a positive impact. See our [Volunteer] Page for the process.

Thanks to you from the commissioners!
