Reisterstown Girls Lacrosse

The Reisterstown Girls Lacrosse program is unique because it blends strong player development with a true community-first mindset. Athletes are taught not only the fundamentals of the game, but also teamwork, leadership, and confidence in a supportive and inclusive environment. The program emphasizes growth at every level—welcoming beginners while still challenging experienced players—so every athlete feels valued, prepared, and inspired both on and off the field.

Girls Lacrosse runs a spring season from mid-February through May each year with Registration normally opening in October.

Practice sessions vary week-to-week and times/length vary based on age.

  • Pockets (4-6): 1 practice per week for one hour
  • Tykers (7-9): 1 practice per week for one hour
  • Lightning (10-12): 2 practices per week for 90 minutes each
  • Middies (12-14): 2 practices per week for 90 minutes each
  • Juniors (14+): 2 practices per week for 90 minutes each

Games are held once per week at the beginning of the season and up to twice a week near the end. The home location for the Reisterstown Lacrosse teams is the Reisterstown Sportsplex and the teams may travel up to 30 minutes to participate with other local teams.

The program is open for any girl from kindergarten through middle school. We have teams for players from any age (5-14) and skill level.

Each year, uniforms and goal-keeper protection will be provided by the program for each player. Players must bring their own mouthguard, goggles, stick, athletic footwear or cleats and proper attire to play an outdoor sport.

Equipment and merchandise can be purchased in our team store.

We conduct evaluations to ensure fair and balanced competition across all teams. Evaluations are not tryouts-once your daughter’s registration is paid, she is guaranteed a place on a team, regardless of her skill level or prior experience. Evaluations are preferred for all players.

Players are generally assigned to divisions based on their age group to ensure fair and balanced competition. However, we understand that some players may be ready for more advanced challenges.

Players have the option to “play up” one division above their age group. All requests will be considered based on skill level, safety, and development needs.

All our programs rely entirely on dedicated, non-paid volunteers. If you’re passionate about helping kids grow and succeed, we’d love to have you on board as a Coach or Assistant Coach! No prior basketball experience is needed-just a commitment to making a positive impact. See our [Volunteer] Page for the process.

Each year there’s a weeklong (Monday-Thursday) camp at the beginning of July for those wishing to up their game.

Thanks from the coaches!
